The Opportunity 

 

This role is responsible for collecting, verifying, and managing supplier quality data and documents for all ingredients and packaging suppliers. The role ensures accurate and timely completion of various requests, including statements, affidavits, and questionnaires, primarily submitted by our growing global customer base. This position will report to the Director of Supply Chain Quality.  

  • Monitor and maintain all food safety and quality assurance requirements and associated documentation for the Supplier Quality Management Program.
  • Evaluate potential new suppliers as part of the new supplier onboarding process.
  • Support in the preparation, scheduling, and documentation coordination of all food safety-related supplier approvals, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Participate in cross-functional risk assessments of suppliers and raw materials.
  • Support the implementation of a cloud-based Supplier Data Management Software.
  • Function as a global key user for supplier data management software.
  • Verify and update relevant master data for the new system.
  • Transfer the latest version of required data to the supplier data management solution.
  • Understand and develop proficiency in retrieving information from existing data storage repositories.
  • Collect Supplier Compliant Action Request (SCAR) data for periodic reviews.
  • Support all internal auditors across GN for audit preparation.
  • Support team development of step action guides and provide feedback on department SOPs and policies.
  • Maintain a summary of audits, risk scores, status, 3rd party certs on GN suppliers.

 

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent degree in the field of science and technology.
  • Prior experience capturing, organizing, and storing Supplier data and documents.
  • Experience with quality and food safety management systems such as GFSI Standards, PCQI Human Food, PCQI Animal Food, HACCP, ISO, and Dietary Supplements. Foreign Supplier Verification Program certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based portals including but not limited to SafeFood360, TraceGains, PDM, Ariba, Intelex, and others is preferred.
  • Self-motivated professional who can drive forward the performance of the quality and technical teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally with Procurement, QA, and R&D and with different organizational levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and delegate assignments to others.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English required.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
