JOB SUMMARY

 

Partners with Production Supervisor to direct and coordinate edible film and glitter production and cleaning activities.  Liaises with Warehouse, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Planning, and Purchasing to ensure orders are safely produced and fulfilled on time, while maintaining high quality and yield standards.
 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive at all times

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude proven by past experience.

  • Proven ability choosing appropriate course of action while considering related costs and benefits

  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel with the utmost professionalism 
  • Independent operation and expert troubleshooting of all equipment centers once fully trained
  • Competent demonstration of autonomous maintenance activities at all equipment centers once fully trained
  • Willing and capable of successfully training team members on all film equipment centers and processes once fully trained
  • Must act as subject matter expert in all areas to new employees as well as current employees needing retraining in any areas once fully trained
  • 5S Ownership
  • Full compliance with PPE & safe working practices
  • Competent demonstration of working safely, following rules and regulations
  • Clear understanding of SOP’s, GMP’s, Allergens, HACCP, Food Defense, Color Code, Documentation, Log Books, Hand Washing, Uniform and Locker policy once fully trained and onboarded.
  • Maintains and retrieves production records and reports 
  • Partner with supervisor to coordinate effective onboarding and training for new manufacturing team members 
  • Partner with supervisor to council, coach and or discipline team members as needed 
  • Partner with supervisor to hire, train, evaluate, resolve personnel grievances, and discharge staff in coordination with human resources 
  • Acts as production supervisor when needed
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education, Training:      

 

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to follow direction and work with Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Experience Required:   

  • 3+ years’ experience in a production environment required
  • >1 year supervisory experience preferred

 

Language, Computer & Numeracy:        

 

  • Clear command of the English language both verbal and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge + MS Office Suite

 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 55 pounds routinely
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
  • Involves moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Should be able to identify and distinguish colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more, observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, judge distances and spatial relationships, and adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.

 

Typical Environmental Conditions

 

  • Will be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. office equipment, light traffic)
  • Will be exposed to moderate to high noise levels (i.e. production equipment, forklifts, heavy traffic).
  • Will be exposed to humidity, intense heat and cold, outdoor weather conditions, menthol fumes, and toxic chemicals.
  • May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
